Top 901-1000 Crypto Bubbles

Top 1000 crypto: ranks 901 to 1000, live

This is where new coins arrive. A token that launched last month and caught some attention often appears in the rankings for the first time somewhere between 901 and 1000, before it either climbs or fades back out. It's also where the data behind the rankings is at its weakest. Each bubble on this page is one of the coins ranked 901 to 1000, sized and colored by how it's trading right now.

The bottom of the top 1000

Coins here are usually worth a few million dollars, sometimes less. Some are brand new. Others are the last survivors of projects that used to rank far higher and are on their way out of the list entirely. Compared with the top 900 crypto range one page up, the gap between a real project and an abandoned one is harder to see from the price alone.

New coins can leave this range quickly in either direction. A single crypto exchange listing can lift a token hundreds of places in a day, and a few quiet weeks can drop it out of the top 1000 altogether.

How reliable is the data down here?

Less reliable than anywhere above it, and worth knowing why. Market cap depends on circulating supply, and for many small tokens that figure is reported by the project itself rather than checked against the blockchain. Data sites mark these numbers as self-reported or unverified, and a wrong supply figure can put a coin hundreds of places too high or too low.

Prices are shakier too. A coin trading on one small exchange can show a price that nobody has actually paid in hours, and a single trade can move it 20%. Volume at this depth can be inflated by wash trading. None of this is unique to this site; every ranking is only as good as the numbers it's built from, you know?

I'd treat the exact rank of any coin here as approximate, within a hundred places or so. The direction it's moving tells you more than the number.

Data choices can move rankings on their own. In January 2018, CoinMarketCap stopped including several South Korean exchanges in its prices without warning, and coins across its site appeared to drop sharply overnight even though nothing had changed in the market itself. A ranking is partly a decision about which numbers to count.

This page is the bottom of the ranking ladder. For the whole market at once, with the biggest coins and the smallest moving side by side, the crypto bubble maps on the home page show it all in one view, and the top 100 crypto page is where the ranking starts.
