Top 601-700 Crypto Bubbles

Top 700 crypto: ranks 601 to 700, live

If you've ever received an airdrop, there's a fair chance the token ended up somewhere around here. Free tokens handed out to early users tend to launch with big valuations and then get sold by the people who received them. A lot of them settle in this part of the list. This page shows the coins ranked 601 to 700 as live bubbles, sized and colored by how each one is trading right now.

What sits in this range

Coins here are usually worth somewhere between a few million and a few tens of millions of dollars. The mix shifts with the market, but three groups show up again and again: projects that ranked far higher in an earlier cycle, small tokens that never grew much past launch, and tokens from airdrops that have finished falling.

If you came here from the cryptocurrencies ranked 501 to 600, the coins will look similar. The trading is thinner, though, and a single large order moves prices further.

Why airdropped tokens drift down

An airdrop gives tokens to people who used a product early, often as a reward and partly as marketing. The catch is that most recipients paid nothing for them, so selling at almost any price is a profit. When a large airdrop unlocks, the selling usually outweighs the buying for weeks.

Layer 2 networks ran some of the biggest recent airdrops, zkSync and Starknet in 2024 among them, and both tokens fell well below their launch prices afterwards; the zk rollup vs optimistic rollup comparison explains what those networks do. A whole side industry of "airdrop farming" grew up around this, with people using DeFi apps purely to qualify for future tokens, often chasing defi yield at the same time.

I used to think a well-funded project's airdrop token would hold up better than a small one's. It mostly doesn't. Funding pays for the product; it doesn't stop recipients from selling.

The first airdrop most people remember wasn't for an app. In 2014 a coin called Auroracoin was handed out to every citizen of Iceland, as an alternative to the national currency (a bold plan for a country that already had a perfectly good one). It crashed soon after and is mostly forgotten.

One caveat

Not every coin here is a fallen airdrop or a fading project. A few are early-stage and working, just small. The bubbles can't tell you which is which; they only show how each one is trading. Treat any move here as a reason to look closer, not a conclusion. The coins ranked 701 to 800 on the next page get even less coverage, which makes that closer look even more necessary.
